With hard work and dedication Ergashev has been able to establish himself as one of the best defenders in the state.

Elkhorn North finished the regular season with a record of 12-6, while qualifying to host a district final. In the Wolves district final they defeated Ralston with a score of 2-0. In this game Ergashev obtained not only his first goal of the season, but his first goal of his entire high school tenure!

What makes this accomplishment so special, is Ergashev is the Wolves FB (full-back) which is a defensive position. Being at the right place at the right time is an understatement for Ergashev, as he was able to capitalize on a header that was placed in the perfect position for Ergashev to score his first goal.

“Imron has improved a ton overall, and his skill since when he started playing a couple years ago.” Head Soccer Coach Fred Doscher stated.

Ergashev started his soccer career during his Sophomore year, which was the first time he has ever played at a competitive level. Without ever playing soccer at all throughout middle school, soccer just came as a second nature to him as he adapted quickly and asserted himself as one of the starting varsity defenders for the Wolves.

“Imron’s improvement sophomore to senior year was really cool to see,” Senior Jon Doscher said.

WIth Ergashev’s work ethic and leadership he has helped build a foundation that the wolves will be able to build off and utilize throughout the generations to follow.
