In a school that found early success in many athletic programs, this softball season has continued to solidify that standard.

Through the adversity of weather delays, softball remained focused and sound in the craft, resulting in a third place finish.

“We defied a lot of odds coming off of our past seasons,” junior left-fielder Skyler Cooley said. “Last year we didn’t even make it to districts and this year we went to third in the state.”

The 2022 season ended without the wolves appearing at districts. The success of the 2023 season comes not only from the players, but also from the coaching staff behind them, which consists of head coach Kelsey Maxell and assistant coaches Karla Hamilton, Ashley Speak, Kaitlyn Weis, Kaitlyn King, and Sam Crowley.

“The kids competed every game, and I think that’s all you can ask of kids their first appearance,” Speak said. “They set the mark to return in future years.”

Congratulations to the softball program on their success this season!
