On Sept. 27, Jett Tingelhoff put on a show by scoring all three touchdowns for the Wolves. As a starting running back and safety for one of the best teams in the state, Tingelhoff has consistently proved why he is such an important aspect of the team. Since his sophomore year, he has been showing his intelligence and athleticism on both sides of the ball.
“He’s a natural leader,” Head football coach Sam Stanley said. “He does a really good job connecting with his teammates.”
With 10 touchdowns this season Tingelhoff leads all skill positions and has been averaging 5.8 yards per rush which is incredible.
Aside from Tingelhoff’s extreme athleticism he shines as a leader on the team. As a captain of the team he takes the responsibility to motivate and encourage his teammates.
“He’s a great leader,” said junior football player Alex Uchtman. “He’s the one who breaks the DB’s down every time.”
Although the only time Tingelhoff gets to show off his skills is on Friday nights, he is always doing extra work during practice and setting a good example for the rest of the team.
“He’s locked in, and always doing his job,” Uchtman said.
His commitment and athletic ability show why Tingelhoff is such a big part in Elkhorn North’s football success.
Only 5 games into the season and Tingelhoff is on pace to have his best season and leave the team as one of the greatest football players at Elkhorn North. Tingelhoff’s performance last week was especially impressive and proved why he is such an amazing asset for Elkhorn North.
