In sports, players often fill the spotlight and it can be easy to overlook those behind the scenes.

This year freshman Adam Pospisil stepped up to fill the role as one of the boys basketball team managers. His dedication and enthusiasm has made a significant impact on the team. Pospisil has been committed to the team since day one.

“He’s there every single day, he never takes a day off and it just shows how committed he is to helping out the team,” senior Tyler Nietfeldt said.

Pospisil’s proactive attitude and willingness to help in every way have been crucial to the team. He helps the team by getting practice ready, running the clock, and passing or rebounding in certain drills. He also helps on game days by keeping stats. Pospisil puts in countless hours of work to help make sure that the team runs smoothly and efficiently.

“He’s not just the stat guy, he’s also involved in the drills and clock and in every aspect of our program,” head basketball coach Andy King said.

Pospisil is constantly taking initiative; handling tasks without being asked to. His work ethic and contributions to the team are recognized and valued by both the players and coaches.

“I’ve been around sports a lot, and for me to be so taken aback by how eager and helpful he is, is really saying something,” Athletic director Luke Ford said.

Whether it’s prepping practice or taking stats, Pospisil’s efforts exceed expectations. His selfless contributions truly have a positive effect.

In a world where the spotlight often misses the behind the scenes heroes,  Pospisil consistently goes above and beyond in his role.

“I want him to know how much he’s appreciated, he’s worked his tail off, we’re fortunate to have him and we can’t wait to see what he can do over the next four years,” King said.
