The Elkhorn North Volleyball team competed at a varsity jamboree on August 21, hosted by Papillion La Vista South High School. Despite the tough competition from the two Class A schools, Westside and Papillion La Vista South, the Wolves won all four sets.
“Even though they are technically supposed to be the better schools since they are Class A, I think we still played with full effort,” varsity player Alexis Hewitt said.
The team is using this season to prepare for the move up to Class A in the 2026-27 school year. Throughout this season the Wolves will be playing several Class A schools, and going up against many formidable opponents.
Their effort was evident within their games, as they maintained a lead throughout every set. They had many great moments showing off their new and improved skills, with a total of 50 kills.
“They exceed my expectations,” varsity head coach Jenny Gragert said. “I hope we are able to continuously improve as the year goes on and be playing at the highest level by the end of the season.”
With the strong start to the season against tough competition, the Wolves are hoping to keep this momentum and play more competitively as the year progresses.
