My review on some of the best albums of 2010-2020.

This decade has definitely changed the rap game the most. With rappers on the rise whether they are from Soundcloud or get signed to a big name in the production area. A new style of rap has also arisen this decade called mumble rap. Overall, the rap game has really changed through the last ten years and many new hits and albums have been released. These are just a few of the top albums of the 2010-2020.

2014 Forest Hills Drive – J. Cole

On December 9th, 2014, J. Cole released a hit album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. The album contains 13 songs and is 1 hour and 4 minute long. The album also has no features.  Today, this album is certified triple platinum and has J. Cole’s most streamed song: “No Role Modelz” that has 835,000,000 streams on spotify. Each song has their own stories most of them being stories from J. Cole’s own life. The name of the album originates from J. Cole’s childhood home in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Overall, the album was definitely one of the best albums of the decade.

If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late – Drake.

On February 13th, 2015, Drake released an album titled If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. This album was a top seller in 2015 and it had no advertisements or single releases before the album release. The fact that the album was a top seller with no advertisements shows why this album deserves to be on this list. The album has 17 songs and is 1 hour and 8 minutes long. It has features with artists: Lil Wayne, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Travis Scott.  One of the  more popular songs from the album is “10 Bands”. Overall, one of the best albums Drake has released.

Birds in The Trap Sing McKnight- Travis Scott

On September 2nd, 2016, Travis Scott released one of his most popular albums Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. The album has a feature from Young Thug and a surprise feature by Kendrick Lamar. The album has 14 songs and is 54 minutes long. Travis Scott’s most streamed song “goosebumps”  with the surprise Kendrick Lamar feature was in the album with 1,234,000,000 streams on Spotify. Another one of Travis Scott’s best songs called “pick up the phone” featuring Young Thug. Overall, the album is one of Travis Scott’s best pieces of work and shows his talents in the rap game.

Luv is Rage 2- Lil Uzi Vert

On August 25, 2017, Lil Uzi Vert released his most streamed album, Luv is Rage 2. The album has features from artists: Pharrell Williams, The Weeknd and Oh Wonder. The album has a total of 20 songs and is 1 hour and 9 minutes long. Lil Uzi’s two most streamed songs, “XO Tour Life” and “20 Min”, are both from the album. “XO Tour Life” has 1,366,000,000 streams on Spotify while “20 Min” has 257,000,000. Other songs like “Neon Guts” featuring Pharrell Williams and “The Way Life Goes” featuring Oh Wonder, are also both highly praised. Overall, the album was one of Uzi’s most impressive albums and it also showed his experiences with love in the past.
