Having a parent work at your school is a unique situation some students at Elkhorn North experience. Ella Ford experiences this every day because her dad, Luke Ford, is the athletic director. Ella Ford takes this to be a positive aspect of her life.
“It is overall really nice to have him in the school because he is able to go to my activities easily and I see him all the time” Ford said.
Ford is involved in cross country and track, and has already been very successful. In cross country, Ford ran at state and placed 10th. Track season just started and Ford already brought home medals from Doane in the 1600 and 4×800, and Fairbury in the 1600 and 800.
“It is a great feeling and it makes me excited and eager for the rest of my high school career” Ford said.
Ford’s goals for this track season is to run at state.
“That has been a dream of mine for a while, going to state would be unreal and an amazing experience” Ford said.
