With only 24 hours in a given day, freshman Emme Shradar dedicates her time to school, show choir, and swimming, with some days starting at 5:30am and not finishing until 9pm.

Her hectic schedule and hard work both exemplify her passion for all she is involved in.

Shradar swims the 200 individual medley, IM, and the 500 free; because of her fast times, she is left to swim in the varsity lane every morning.

“She works hard to get to her goals and she has achieved so many already so she’s already setting them higher to continue the season” junior teammate Makenzie Peter said.

Her success is not just limited to swimming however, as Shradar maintains her high level of talent along with her passion for music.

“She’s always humble whenever people bring anything up,” sophomore teammate Jenna Polking said. “She brings a really good attitude when it comes to practice and rehearsals.”

While only being a freshman, Shradar has an ability to stay calm and level-headed throughout the hecticness.  She demonstrates hard work and passion, which ultimately helps her teammate succeed.

“As a freshman she’s done an incredible job of communicating when she’s going to be gone or has a direct conflict,” choir teacher Casey Allen said.

Shradar’s ability to be proactive with her classes and busy schedule allow her to make the most of every moment she gets and truly be a part of the school community her freshman year.

“She’s always present when she’s at rehearsal and staying in the moment, even with everything going on,” Allen said.

Shradar’s work ethic and ability to be a reliable teammate are two examples that, as a freshman, she does far more than what is expected of her.
