On August 22, The Pack hosted its first freshman through senior pep rally of the school year. This pep rally taught cheers, had games with the students, and featured the debut performance of the dance team.
The pep rally began with students learning the fight song, followed by the dance team who came out to showcase their Universal Dance Association (UDA) jazz performance.
“I love performing in front of our students,” senior Loghan Evert said.
Evert goes on to state how she loves the energy because it’s almost contagious, creating an energetic student section.
The cheer team taught the student body how to do some of the cheers commonly used at football games.
“It is so fun to do,” junior Abby Hagestad said. “Especially when the student section is involved, and cheers along with us.”
After being taught how to do the cheers, the Pack leaders conducted a test to see which grade had the most school spirit, with the seniors winning.
Co-presidents of the Pack, Ava Uchtman and Chloe Mead, informed the students of some of the upcoming Pack Nights… then the games began.
The premise of the first game was essentially musical chairs. There were two students from every fall sport, with one person from each sport standing in a circle in the middle of the court. Each person had a partner walking around the circle. When the music stopped, they had to dive through their partner’s legs and retrieve a balloon from a pile in the center of the circle..
The game ended with Raisa Halweg and Alex Uchtman as the final two, with Raisa Halweg taking the win.
“It was super exciting and fun to show school spirit with my teammate,” senior Raisa Halweg said.
That close win from Halweg concluded the pep rally and was a great ending to the Wolfpack’s first one.
