The first pack night of the school year was held on Sept. 28. The pack night was hosted at a home volleyball game against Elkhorn High.
Throughout the entire game, students were seen participating in chants with the cheer team, yelling and cheering whenever the Wolves earned a point. The student section was seen wearing blue and black, as those colors were the theme for the pack night.
“We have been very intentional about the pack for the past three years, and we’ve really seen it grow. We want students to feel connected and feel like a part of the community,” one of The Pack sponsors Amber Sims said. “We’ve been recognized for our positive school spirit and student section, so I think it’s just going to continue to be a part of what Elkhorn North is known for.”
Although The Pack was successful in bringing a powerful energy to the volleyball game, many agree that more students can be involved in attending home games and fostering a positive school spirit.
“Being in the student section is always really fun because there’s a lot of energy and people,” sophomore Ana Teri said. “I think the people who were there did really well in cheering on the team, but I also think more people could’ve shown up. I think more people could’ve participated in the cheers, too, because a lot of people get too shy to do them.”
As the school year progresses, The Pack hopes to see more students at home games and pack nights to support their fellow peers in the activities they love.
