Red Rocks is a dream venue for many artists. The mountains and the city view surrounding the crowd creates an atmosphere like no other. Megan Moroney finally accomplished this dream.
The “Am I Okay” tour has taken off and made dreams come true for the artist, Megan Moroney. Her song “Am I Okay” has been her second No. 1 hit, and her sophomore album has reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Her tour has stretched from late February to October, and she has over 40 shows to play across the country.
On Tuesday, Sept. 30, she played for a sold out crowd at Red Rocks. Moroney expressed her joy for her fans, and how special it was to play at the venue. She credited all of her success to her fans, and how far they have come, and recognized the crowd was filled with her iconic royal blue.
“She really brought the energy and made sure the crowd was involved throughout the show,” sophomore Bronwyn Gufford said. “There was never a dull moment.”
It was her longest show on tour yet, with many songs performed for the first time, including her hit song, “Georgia Girl” and a cover of “Desperado” by the Eagles. She also played an unreleased song called “Beautiful Things.”
Moroney’s shows consist of many traditions to make it special. Her crowning of “Miss Universe” to a special fan is one that brings joy to her concerts. Her team takes their time for someone to be picked for this role. They are given flowers and a shout out. Moroney puts passion into making it known to her fans that they are smart, special, and beautiful.
